At last Python has reached the number 3 position in this index. C++ hasn’t been out of the #3 position since 2013. It has now moved to #4 on the tiobe index.
also in Tiobe Index news – SQL has etered #9 position (first time on the list since becoming touring complete) AND Perl continues to drop like a rock at #17 and falling quickly. I’ll miss Perl, but it’s a dead language these days.
