In the past I’ve had issue with Murex regarding the available support for it. After much review, I’ve found this link that appears to offer very good support for the Murex Product:.

thanks for stopping by my little site. Its not just my experience though, I haven’t found anyone who’s ever raved about Murex Support.
It’s my opinion that if they didn’t have such a crappy rep in this area, they would absolutly do better in their business.

Murex won’t even help you with training on Murex. The point is for them to sell lots of consulting hours to financial institutions. If everyone knew the product and the documentation was freely published, they wouldn’t be able to sell their professional services for the prices that they do.
At any rate, check out the code (Murexparse.pl answerparse.lex murexparse.c) listed at http://biff.twenex.net/ . That should give you a bit of a head start.

Coming soon. A MUREX User Community. Users of the MUREX application will be able to log in and share information. Nothing like this exists today.

I do disagree. I believe that if you use your personal email address when contacting support or training it’s likely that the above can happen, but if you use your bank-email address and send it to the right support groups somebody will get back to you immediately. Sorry to hear that it didn’t work like this for you …
Anyway, if you need help there is the Murex User Group, a community of 1000+ Murex Users world-wide and even though nobody will share (c) material (training, docs) you probably can get all your questions answered …

I’ve checked out the site markus posted and it looks good. I joined yesterday to see what it was all about.
Markus, I contacted murex using my bank email address and got no satisfaction.
This is simply my experience though. Perhaps yours is different.

so, I’ve been on Marcus’s site for a bit more then a month now. It seems to offer good support, and seems like a good sound board for getting opinions.
As I’ve said, I am not qualified to speak about the functionality of this product. It could be the best on the market for all I know. My issue with Murex is how it is supported. If I found that it is has better support today, then it did when I worked at the bank, I would remove this post instantly to be fair.

I’ve decided to remove my negative comments regarding the Murex product support. It appears that Marcus has a good site that covers my gripes. I wish Marcus the best of luck.
