Fast chip design blows programming away- a good article on Microsoft racing to keep up with chip design. Apparently they are sinking a ton of money into R&D for easier Multi-processing software design. I don’t often say it, but kudos to Microsoft on this.

SDF Public Access UNIX System Turns 20 This article shows the long history of SDF and how it all began. You’ll see reference to SDF’s orgin in The Hacker Crackdown by Bruce Sterling. It was called “killer” back then.
